Apollinaris has been known as “The Queen of Table Waters” for many years now.
This mineral water was discovered in the village of Bad Neuenahr (in the German Eifel region) in 1852 by a winemaker who simply couldn’t understand why his vines were not as healthy as those of other farmers in the region.
To his shock he soon discovered a source of bubbling spring water rich in minerals 20 metres below the surface. His initial disappointment was however soon forgotten when bottling of this mineral water brought him great commercial success.
Apollinaris medium is mild carbonated and has a full, somewhat salty taste (the carbon dioxide occurs naturally in the water), the medium variety has 5.5 g carbon dioxide per litre.
