All of our products are 100% natural. Pure natural bottled waters can have more than one origin and can include besides spring- and mineral water, rainwater, glacial and iceberg water.
Springwatershop.com only sells the finest bottled waters from pure, untreated origin; mineral, spring, glacial or rain water from unspoiled parts of the world or eve a iceberg water from the Arctic region.
Mineral & Spring water
The strictest guidelines for mineral and spring waters are found in Europe; mineral water has to contain more total dissolved solids (TDS) than 500 mg/L. In the US and Australia this figure is 250 mg/L. Springwaters tend to have less minerals.
In addition to its mineral content, the European criteria for mineralwater stipulates the water to be bottled at the source, without any treatment, except filtration to remove iron and sulphur. It should not be pasteurized, ozonated or subjected to ultraviolet light to render it sterile, but bottled under conditions of 'most stringent hygiene'. For springwater the same rules apply in Europe, with the exception that it is allowed for the water to be tanked at the source and thereafter transported to a filling plant.
