Volvic is a still mineral water of which the source originates in the Auvergne. Here, in central France, the source originates in an old vulcano, through which the underground waterfall of the Source du Goulot can be reached by walking an 800-metre-long underground passage.
Volvic is a light mineral water with a good sodium/calcium/ magnesium ratio, varying between 8 and 12 mg per litre. Its low sodium content makes it suitable for young children and those on a low-salt diet. It also has a positive effect on the kidneys and is used in dermatological treatments.
